Arturia is pleased to announce iMini, our first step into the iOS arena available on iPad.

Lets hope this doesn't mean Arturia, who make some of my favorite synths, go the same route as IK Multimedia and abandon all us DAW users!!!!!! At least Arturia products are already 64bit, so at least that is something..................

How did this come to be? I can't imagine trying to make music on something so small. Let me get rid of the studio, and spend my time hunched over a tiny screen???

We tend to be studio-centric around here, but we must remember that for many musicians, music is something that is actually played live. Being able to load a wonderful instrument like the MiniMoog on an iPad and hook that to a midi controller to perform must be pretty nice.

I think that for all the keyboard people who used to work w/ laptop, replacing them w/ iPads and such might just be a logical next step.

Hi Rain
Yes fully understand that though my post was not strictly to be taken seriously - It was a bit of a "tongue in cheek" post with relation to what has happen with IK since they went all iCentric, if you see what I mean!

From my perspective, this will only become a problem if Arturia becomes so focused on the iStuff that they neglect to develop, update and support their vst lines. That new iMarket is attractive, but that slope is slippery.

I know what you mean Nigel - and I'm the first one to get a bit annoyed w/ all the iStuff that IK has been putting out. ;)

Where's IK Obi when we need assurances that something really nifty is coming soon for iK?
