Only if you're a fan of superior acting and writing.  Seriously, this is one of the finest, and most original, shows ever aired.  It's somewhat of a miracle that, given its subject matter, it ever got a green light.  But it is dark ... starts a little dark and gets progressively more so.  It does not, however, glorify the crystal meth culture in any way.  But the users of the drug portrayed are such low-life scum that you don't feel particularly outraged at what our dark hero is engaged in.
 
So give it a try ... but starting at episode one is essential.
