The mass media is not here to report honest news. They are here to sell advertising. Real journalism no longer exists. I don't care if its fox, msnbc, cnn, or some local network. They are all crap.

So very true. It's all about ratings these days and so very little truth. I end up checking multiple sources for all my news these days. All the while making sure that I understand what angle they are coming from so that I know in advance the biases.

In an effort to cut costs many news outlets are simply repeating what they get of twitter and Facebook. If it's on the net it must be true.

The part I don't get is the story correction termed this to be a 'racist' joke. So a play on last name pronounciations is now considered racist?
