I'm frustrated. I have SampleTank Free and decided to add some sounds to it. I bought an expansion "refill" and got a serial number, which started with 2 letters and 3 numbers. When I tried entering the serial number so I could download my stuff, the software told me that the serial number has to start with 3 letters and won't let me go any farther. But the serial number they gave me starts with 2 letters. So, I'm stuck...

The "RETANK" Expansions are NOT SampleTank (iK) products...

They are from Q Up Arts...

That is where you need to register them...not at the IK site or
with the IK Authorization manager.

If you bought it at Esoundz then there should be a link
in the email that tells you where to register.

If you bought it at IK...then it should be an IK Expansion,
and will need to contact customer Service.

I have ALL of the IK Expansions...and they have no serial numbers...
they only have a download - reactivation code..which is used to download them.
I didn't need the download code as mine came on Disk in the Total Studio 3 Bundle.

Well, I did have a serial number, but I think it must be because the Xpansion Tanks required the newest free version of SampleTank. This one is called SampleTank 2.5 XT. It was all very confusing. I tried to buy 3 Xpansion Tank Refills, but it would only let me order 1 of them, without letting me name which one at first. Then it gave me this serial number which didn't work in the pop-up that asked for a serial number. I finally figured out that the serial number wasn't for the refill, it was for the SampleTank 2.5 XT, and it had to be input in a different place. The whole process wasn't made clear, but I think it's all straightened out now. Maybe now I can get the other 2 refills I was trying to get.
