It has been very crazy around here lately. Some family members moved in for awhile. I threw two big parties around the holidays. I am up for a possible carreer move within my workplace so I have needed to update myself from starise 1.0 to starise 1.375. I already knew what I was doing but I pursued additional credentials to prove to them that I knew. Said credentials involved tests and I hate tests. I passed with high marks though.Not sure if I'll get the advancement but if I don't at least I have upgraded myself. I have been playing out some and working on things. I get one thing half done and then I start another thing. I just keep doing that over and over. 
 I was curious what I might have missed aside from the  several thousand usual posts in the thread with no name:).

Congrats Starise 1.375 on passing with flying colors and getting the credentials!! I hope you get the promotion.
As for the stuff you might have missed around here, it's all extremely well documented (in date order and order of importance) and logged in the FSF.......no, you aint missin nuthin.

 You know how it is. You try and wait and see.I have already been fulfilling a lot of the capacities of the job. I figured if they put a newbe in he will be leaning on me, so I might as well hold myself up and  get paid for the effort.

When will you know about the promotion?

We also listened to some beef, told campfire stories from the road, fondly described old gear, watched crazy people, listened to some good stuff, missed old friends, and survived a Sharknado.
 
It's been pretty tame.

 
 I'm not exactly sure Mesh. I'm not even sure it is technically a promotion. If I am a small fish in a pond with other small fish, is that really a promotion? My role would be different that's all. More responsibility for not a lot more pay. I'm not complaining mind you movement is still movement even if it is mostly lateral.In this economy any movement is good. I look at it like I get to help make things better and I want to make things better. Right  now I don't have much say.

I was in a similar position back in Nov. and did make the lateral move for a better position (same company). I really didn't care for my previous position/job duties/work environment etc..., and if I didn't happen to get this current position, I had planned on doing the very best I can (even if it was somewhat unpleasant). I believe in having a good attitude no matter what the situation is.......expect the worst and hope for the best. :)
