I actually like ProChannel because there are very few options and they all have no or negligible latency. Can just punch stuff out very quickly.

Wow - a "where used" report for a Sonar Project?  Would love to have something like that.  I limit my plug-ins on purpose and if I want to get rid of one, I'll open up old projects to substitute.  That of course can take a long time.  If I could query the projects to see to plug-ins it would save a lot of time.  Where do I get a "Windows GREP" program?

Not exactly a "where used" but effective enough to search my 'Cakewalk Projects' folder (one VST at a time).

I have a new DAW coming next week. The plan is for a lot of the hardly used stuff to remain un-installed until I actually need to use it.

One minor annoyance is that some installers insist you have the 32 bit versions installed along side the 64 bit. Not a big deal but it leads to som extra housekeeping in Sonar.

Thanks bapu - I was thinking that each plug-in was prefixed (or suffixed) by a common string so that you could search for all plugins by searching the prefix, but doesn't sound like that. Sometimes I wish I could export the projects into a database or xml scheme so I could query it the way I would like.
