Hi,

It's a matter of time, and even "keyboards" won't be keyboards anymore ... and it will change how music is made and how it is played!

I am not sure why the kickback, since the history of music has always been about the changes in many things, and if the musicos in Mozart's time heard a Steinway today, or the electric stuff, they would probably freak out and make sure your music will never get seen or heard ... because THEIRS is "visible" ... and yours is not!

The most important part of it all, is the one that most musicians are afraid of ... all of a sudden most music will be made by people that ALSO HAVE DREAMS IN THEIR HEAD -- MUSIC OR OTHERWISE ... and this means that a lot of folks will be getting upset and not happy with things ... it's the same thing here on this board ... show them something different and the next thread is about ... the same thing and sound that has been there before ... folks, including here ... are afraid of new ... different ... and guess what the future will be about?

Not your ideas or mine ... but there are a lot of hints that they won't be the same ... and that one is as good as any ... maybe that is the instrument I need to get off the music concept/theory design once and for all and be able to do what I hear!

This is a dream for many of us ... people that live music, dream music, see music ... but can't play it, and everyone that does says that we're stupid and don't know what we're talking about! We just don't have the "instrument" needed to translate what we hear! And any new instrument is better than the old ones that don't work ... specially when no one knows how to deal with midi, keyboards and such these days!

It's not the "change" that really bothers me, but rather the lack of "change" ($800).

Pedro must not be feeling well.

A whole post and not one mention of Straummy, Bapu or The CHB.

You're not sure...maybe because people like making light of things. Sure it's something new that will entertain and many will have fun with it. Some may use it to make music. No biggy.

Musicians are afraid- well that's ridiculous. People may be afraid of many things and some may really believe that Klingons are real and this thing is one of their weapons...but man..."musicians"? Ridiculous.

So you really believe that musicians think everybody that can't make music is stupid and don't know what they're talking about. Well you need help. You are having thoughts that have to come from some serious issues. Just take one minute and think about truely answering one question...do you really believe that all musicians can agree on one thing? !! MAN! You know good and well you're lucky if you can find enough to make a three piece group that agree on a few things!  Get real Mosh.!

(I dislike this new software ... sorry posted the answer in the incorrect one!)

Nahhh ... I know I made suggestions to a couple of the early CHB things, and they did not go well ... but I do not hold you guys as bad for it ... I probably would have done the same thing with what I write ... I see this ... and have no idea where THAT came from ... so I'm really ok with it ... but I was sad when there was a choir and I kinda wanted to hear it and make a suggestion ... and couldn't.

You/I/We, always know when we're not wanted. It's alright, I don't feel the need to impress my friends with my songs and musical knowledge! Or writing ... it's more like ... if you give a **** fine, if you don't fine. I'm wayyyyy beyond the dream of fame and fortune and acceptance!

Of all the "artists" I have EVER worked with, on stage, in film, in creative writing, in painting, the only ones that have EVER, given me any flack, were ... you got it ... musicians!

I don't know if there is a good reason or not. But they get so defensive ... it's funny, weird, strange ... and will immediately return to the attack mode, when I was not trying to be on the attack mode, but making an example of my experience.

I have to say, that it is weird, that a couple of the musicians that I have known that have lots of music out there and their names all over, had no issues when I talked like this, but some folks here do!

Look at it, as just another science fiction weird book that you didn't like because it hit all the chords that you don't fancy ... and remember ... I'm not the first and won't be the last!

I'm afraid () I don't understand you then.

If you desire to make music by "thinking it" rather than the difficulties of learning and playing a physical instrument with enough facility to express yourself, and you don't wish to share said music (or believe that the music in your head is MORE IMPORTANT than the music in anyone else's head), can't you just imagine it already?

And I don't think musicians are "afraid" of new technology. I think many are dismayed by what they see as "dumbing down" something they spent prodigious amounts of time learning. And the problem is not that something difficult is made easy; rather it's that something carefully and thoughtfully refined has been reduced to a whim. Which is then considered "equal".
