I ordered all my components for my new build from NewEgg and during the tracking process of my shipment, I noticed that they ship from various locations.....including China!!
All my components were locally shipped from USA (NJ, CA, Tenn., DC, etc...), except for one.....a
USB 3.0 20 Pin 2 Ports Front Panel Floppy Disk Bay Hub Bracket Cable which is shipped all the way from China. I would think this part should be easily available in the good ol USA and avoid their internal shipping costs??? (free shipping for me though....).
I actually emailed NewEgg thinking my order was shipped to HANGZHOU, CHINA, but apprently found out that it's being shipped
from China and the tracking details they provided are somewhat confusing:
Tracking number XXXXXXXXXXXXXShip date June 28, 2013, 12:51 pmDestination HANGZHOU, CHINA (That's all I got regarding tracking) Here's (part of) NewEgg's reply to my inquiry: "
The item is sold by our marketplace seller named Electronic Depot through Newegg. They ship the item from China." Just thought it was odd to be getting a somewhat "common" part, all the way from China....
