Give me your info. I can gladly spend it for you.
You probably wouldn't want it. I've done some good damage to it over the last few months.
I think I hopefully know what I'm spending on next.
Out back of my girlfriends house is a nice size concrete building. A bit bigger then a large 2 car garage.
Just sitting there with nothing but an old go-cart in it and some shelves. Oh and a busted up Sheetrock ceiling.
We were talking this week and
she actually brought up that since I spend 80% of my time there, why not fix it up all nice like and put my gear in there.
I was out there sizing things up. I would like to vault out the ceiling, build a drum booth, a vocal booth, a live room and a mixing room.
It already has it's own electrical panel (100 AMP) so that's all set. Being an electrician and in the trades all my life I have all the help and expertise needed.
Now to start gutting and planning.
This is not going to be cheap and I don't want to skimp so I'm going to have to come up with a solid plan and material list and see if it's do-able.
No neighbors, well none real close. Her house is at the end of the street with woods on the one side and damn far out back too.
Her brother lives next door and doesn't mind if he hears a little drums and bass now and again.
Being a block building will also help sound wise.
I've done loads of reading over the years and know exactly how to go about building a 'quiet to the outside world' place.
God I love that woman.
Now I just have to talk her into getting another job or two to help offset the cost's.
