Hey, everyone. I recently have been looking around for VST host applications that are suitiable for live use. I ended up taking a look at 'LiveProfessor' (couldn't get MIDI in or out, nor load synths.. too complicated) and then 'MiniHost', which so far, has worked charms.. except for that I can't get any MIDI in or out on that, either!
To be straightforward, I either need a new host application that is actually going to accept my MIDI in for my keyb, or I need a tutorial on a piece of software that should work just fine for me.

Thanks a bunch!

May want to give this one a look http://www.brainspawn.com/

A free alternative, not specifically designed for live use but does meet your other requirements http://www.hermannseib.com/english/vsthost.htm

For live playing of VSTi, Forte' or Cantibile 2 Performer are great choices.
Both present your virtual instruments as a (virtual) rack of synths.
You can setup complex splits/layers... limited only by your CPU... and switch between them using Scenes/Sessions (similar to a Multi-Patch in a keyboard workstation).

Your Casio is the only MIDI input device you have at the moment, correct?
How is it connected, USB or MIDI? Does MC3 recognize it?
Do you have the input checked in the MIDI tab of MiniHost?
I just tried it here, and it worked fine with one instance. Two or more got flaky, and ultimately crashed my computer.
I also tried Forte', and I kind of like that.

I have been looking in to this recently and so far have settled on the free version (lite) of Cantabile which has been very stable and simple to setup.

Plus being free always helps.
