Just had the same issue when trying to clone a disk again. Came back here and didn't see the answer. Finally went online and found it in another forum, in case anyone else cares. :)
When you get the error message about the new disk, simply choose 'manual' instead of 'automatic' clone. Then you'll have to choose 'as is.' (there may be another step or two...I may have clicked a few other things, then it finally worked. But it won't work on automatic. I'm still using 2010, btw.
