I'm currently in the 1st stage of Rotator Cuff Surgery recovery. It will last all summer (2nd stage occurs after receiving the bills).

To make things worse, this has been the hottest summer I can remember in a long time. In the 80s for the past 2 weeks while I'm laid up inside recovering.

I'm spending the next 2 days transferring all My Documents files (300 GB worth) to another HDD so I can reformat it and get rid of a suddenly huge corrupted space residing there... These new HDDs seem to corrupt a lot easier than the old ones.

This strategy may be pointless as the very files I'm moving may be the ones corrupted.

Whatter yu dooin this summer?

I, too, have some medical stuff to deal with.  I'll get out and out, but I'll probably stay close to home.  I wish you a speedy and complete recovery on both stages of your treatment.  Good luck with the files, too.

Rotator cuff sounds huge btw.  That's good to hear you came out of the ER just fine..  Aside from the bills.

I wish you a speedy recovery

When I blew out my rotator cuff I only had a weak HMO so it never got fixed.  After asking me if I was a professional athelete (*Pfft* If I was, do you think I'd have such crappy medical insurance???), they literally told me to stop whatever I was doing that caused or would aggravate the problem and sent me to physical therapy for a few sessions.

That was the end of all sporting endeavors for me so now I just sit on my butt and watch my six-pack abs turn into a pony keg.

That was my 1st choice but I do have pretty good insurance and since my job requires regular systematic abuse of my right arm and shoulder I figured I better go ahead and pay the nice doc his 4000% share of my existence (I'm hardly worth what this bill is gonna be). He needs help paying for his new surgery center and since I like helping people...

He says I'll be back to my old self in no time. Right now my right bicep is just a limp piece of flabby mush. He better be right.

Good luck with the surgery/recovery. With a bit of physical therapy, you should be back to normal pretty soon. I've been through quite a few sports injury surgeries (torn ligaments (both ankles), torn ACL, multiple fractures etc....) and it was the physical therapy/excerising that helped my recovery to be much smoother.

I'm building my new gaming/DAW tonight (once the the UPS man brings in the rest of the components) and will be tinkering with that for quite some time. :)) BTW, it's in the mid 90's here in Orlando and very, very humid, but I guess that's normal here.....

Good luck!!

Thanks for all the well wishing though it won't be too speedy. Probably more like 2 months minimum.
Finally got a weather reprieve. In the high 60s low 70s and drizzle today, though they say its gonna go back up soon.

OK, back to moping around.
