Do not be fooled by these cookies, they do not have real dark chocolate only some false mock chocolate.

I had to check your profile again to be sure you did not live in Texas. Clearly you are out of step with the majority of Pacific northwesterners in your seasonal preference. After 17 continuous months of dank, most of us are happy to see a couple of days of otherwise. Some of us even look forward to having to water the moss.

After being paroled from So. Kalifornia after 40 years, I love the weather up here (but am not sure if I would like what Seattle gets which is FAR different than down by the Columbia River).

Wimps!

I know some of you live in hotter climates. Fewer still live in colder one's... than me. Yet none of you experience both... like me.

Last winter (an 8 month season here) had 2 long months of -40. The rest was -20. Summer (3 months) has already seen 3 weeks of 80-90 and it aint lettin' up anytime soon.

What a record hot summer means for us is wildfires. Already over 70 statewide. They are rarely ever a threat (no massive neighborhood destruction) but they can blanket the area in dense smoke hard to breath and see in. It looks just like dense icefog in winter. Totally ruins a short summer. So far, so good this year.

I'm with you on that one, Craig. You know how much I love the heat...

Our electricity bill jumped from $85 to $225 last month because of the AC. I have a ceiling fan in the studio, running at all time when I'm in. The studio is right over the garage - which obviously doesn't have AC - so it gets very hot up here. The rest of the house is comfortable, probably cooler than I'd need it to be because my wife hates the heat even more than I do. But I have to admit that it's nice because it means the gym is always at a very comfortable temperature.

One morning 2 weeks ago, I realized that I'd have to put shoes on to go get the mail. I'm used to walking barefoot around the house, inside and outside. But that morning, I made it halfway before I had to run back in. It burned like hell, so much that I was actually worried that I could burn some skin there.

Quite a change from back home. But you know what? I don't hate it as much as I thought I would. As long as it's dry - and as long as I don't have to go out - or only in the backyard, protected from the sun, it's all good.

But it really feels like I moved from Hoth to Tatooine.

What a bunch of moaning minnies ! ;)

All you people who complain about being too hot, wanna try living here. We get two seasons a year - June 6th and Winter. On the rare day that the big yellow thing is visible, we never get to enjoy it because we're all standing in the street pointing at the sky saying.........what's that ? B the time we've got ourselves together, donned appropriate clothing and bought an ice cream it's gone again.
