Popped up in my Newsfeed this morning. That's one odd guitar for my taste - notwithstanding the odd color.

By Fano.
I'd never heard the name before. They're rather pricey - more than I'd be willing to invest in a flat top w/ a bolt-on neck.

This IS an odd bird, but it looks like they did a good job on it (some mashups are just horrible).  I know a few people who would LOVE that guitar.

Yeah, it is an interesting mashup - despite my initial post sounding totally negative. For someone like me who's never been into Telecasters all that much, something like this could be an option I guess.

But first, more Les Pauls and at least one SG. :P

The Maillard Reaction
The filtertron neck pickup, and the amber orange finish suggests that the guitar is homage to the 1950's era Gretsch Guitars as well as the Telecaster.

Who ever gets that guitar is going to want a reverb with a Dwell control.

I knew it reminded me of something besides the tele. Thanks for that!

I've never understood or appreciated mashup guitars. Instruments that became classics and lasted did so because everything fit right both aesthetically and musically.

That doesn't.

Compensating for something perhaps?

(This is the bass that belongs to the guy who goes by the nickname "The Angry Inch" for some reason.)

Um. No.

A mashup like that doesn't add anything, innovate or show any real creativity (or often times taste).

It's sentence rearranging just communications the equivalent a words of randomly in.

Or would you consider the previous sentence "art"?
