It's been 5 days. Having gone thru back surgery myself I can attest to the fact that 5 days out logging into a forum would have been the last thing on my mind.
Survival mode man.

However Rain as you said, having a family member give us an update would be nice since we all knew what
Was happening.
Just keep the positive thoughts flowing.

I do have my doubts about taking Rain's advice though.  I mean, let's say I get a cat and teach it to log into the forums, would he really care if I lived or not?  Heck, I wouldn't put it past him to somehow arrange my demise and about the only way people would know that I'm no longer around will be when my replies start making sense...

Cats cannot be trusted.
Now if it were a dog, and there were plenty of snacks available daily, then maybe...

(...arrange my demise...)  funny stuff right there Craig

Craigb, don't worry about the cat arranging your demise.  That's completely out of character.  It's unthinkable.

It would prefer to start eating you while you're still warm and juicy.

Mesh, you've perfectly summarized my survival strategy for dealing with zombies, cannibals, and cats.

The strategy for dealing with Africanized Ferrets is very similar, but it includes not hiding behind refrigerators.

Patience guys.  All we are saying is to give Bit a chance--to recover.

Hi everybody I am back amongst the living. More or less. Still can"t get to my computer (stairs are involved) so I"m cheating and using my phone.
Thank you all for the well-wishes and for periodically bumping this thread so I could find it easily.
The surgery was a success but involved a lot more pain than anticipated. Still pretty doped up on nnarcotics most of the time but held off them this morning just so I'd have the presence of mind to log in and say hi.
Hope to get back to the computer tomorrow or Saturday but not allowed to sit more than 30 minutes at a time. My business partner's having cow because I'm unable to help with advanced technical issues. Luckily most of my customers are understanding.
Time for meds now...ow ow ow...will keep in touch. Thanks again.

Cheers,
Dave
