Tonight I recorded a couple of friends and I used a mic sideways to try the mid-side thing...

I just took that track, cloned it, panned it left and right and one out of phase...
I was so proud of my self...
I bounced the tracks and burned a disc (all tonight)...
and I realize, I panned the instruments left and right, proving I missed the whole point!!

Lol.

I tried.

The Maillard Reaction

BTW, it is beautiful music and the musician's, judging from their comments, seem like a pleasure to work with.

:-)

Keep at it.

Thanks, Mike! I totally had fun. Giggle. They aren't used to mics. They whispered into my mics when I was in the bathroom. haha. Nothing bad. Makes me like them even more. A great pair of guys.

I've added a bounce using Perfect Space with the Choir Room impulse Center XY to the page linked above.

I'm having so much fun I feel like dancing!

Sounds like it needs a hi-pass on the guitar on the left (tracks 6 and up or so).

I was listening to Danny from the other day and not just sticking a high pass on everything. So I listen first... Sounds like only the guitar needs the high pass to me. And maybe just a little low end cut with a shelf rather than a full on high pass...

Not sure. Time to try them all out.
