Hello

I am looking for some great horns to use in my production. I mainly produce progressive & latin house music and some chill-out.
I have checked out the new NI Session Horns for Kontakt. I listened to the Demo track, which seem ok but not fantastic I M H O.

I would be thankful for tips of fantastic horn libraries or instruments for use in Kontakt or other sampler.

Thanks!

You might want to checkout the Chris Hein Horns Pro Complete.

Kind regards,
Rick

Chris Hein and Mojo are the two most advanced horn libraries... and the price reflects that.
If the OP was into classical scoring, Hollywood Brass.

I'd probably rate CH Horns just a little higher than Mojo, but the difference is very slight, and both are very useful for all sorts of pop/rock/jazz settings.

Depending on your experience writing horn charts, and using complex libraries, you might also want to look at Session Horns from NI again. The demos I've heard from a variety of folks have me taking a second look! It won't replace a full library like CHH, but for quick mock-ups it looks very cool indeed.

For more orchestral settings I'd also take a look at the Cinesamples brass libraries. But that's OT<G>...

I have Chris Hein's horn libraries and can totally recommend not only the sound but the amazing customer support that Chris provides. I even created a thread on here in praise of Chris. I also have Kirk Hunter's Concert Brass II libraries which are great for symphonic stuff but not geared toward the type of performances you are looking at.
