I confess that I haven't read every single post that's been made about the new forum, but I've read quite a few and haven't seen this issue mentioned.

The old forum used to flag threads that had new posts since the previous logon ... a very convenient feature.  Now I see three day old threads marked "New".  I now have to try to remember when my last access was and then look at the time marker (e.g. "last updated 23 hours ago"), which is not nearly as convenient.

Is this happening to everyone?

When you are logged in there on top on the black gradient part there is "Forums". "Posts", "PMs" and "Page Extras" up there, when not logged in, "PMs" is not there.
That is where you find recent threads and postings on whichever thread was posted on, as well usually in "Page Extras" what members are logged in and all of that also. That is what I use as well as using the "Full Version" view unless the signatures get to much in the way of the posts made then "Full Version" probably would not be needed all the time. (?)

The new forum, like a number of other forums, leaves stuff marked as new until you either read it or mark it as read.

Best bet on a busy forum is to use the "Mark Forum Read" button at the the top when you're done with the current forum.

Thanks ... hadn't noticed that button.  I liked the old way better, but once this becomes routine (old dog, new tricks, not an easy transition) it should be just like old times.  On the other hand, the old forum used to "time you out" and mark everything read sometimes before you actually had a chance to, in fact, read everything of interest.  So maybe this way is actually an improvement.  There we go ...  Glass half full!

When the conversion happened, all threads were marked as unread but, as you read them, their titles go from bold to normal and only "new" replies cause the title to become bold again.

(At least that's what happens for me!)
