You can pick up LuSH-101 for around 135 US bucks.  A very good deal given how marvelous an instrument this thing is (provided you have a decent sized monitor and not too old a slacker of a computer).

lush will eat your pc and spit out the remains.. it takes 6 instances to teach my i5 some manners :)

hehe

I have all their synths / fx.. I really like their stuff, and I doubt I'm the only one who bought the lot.. pity they should sort loyal customers out with something extra as well ;-) ... unsuble hint much ? :)

it's a pity roland didn't make vst's of their own "0" synths , but their work is good ..

the only things that annoy me about d16 is their "teasers" for synths being too long..  it drove me mad they over egged it.

but yer their stuff is quality.  try the demo of lush first though, to make sure your cpu doesn't cry .

I've got a full review of LuSH-101 that will be posted within the week in a new issue of WSM.  There seem to be two common criticisms of this software: it's hard to use with a small monitor and it's a CPU hog.  On the former point, D16 has announced UI enhancements to be forthcoming.  On the latter, some folks report swamping their CPU.  It definitely is a single tasker, so number of cores won't make a difference unless you're running multiple instances.  I do not have the latest and greatest PC, but it's a respectable I7 about 18 months old.  The most I could get it to was ~65% of a core used, and that was trying to run five layer presets.

Apart from those concerns, this is one *very* nice instrument, IMO, and at ~$135, well worth the price.

it was said tongue & cheek... as there is always freezing and bouncing.

I run an i7 as a main rig (laptop still don't cut it for me , drive space wise etc) , but do use a laptop a lot still.

next on the list is u-he's diva.. or even if they did a bundle.. but well, santa hasn't visited them and I don't hear discounts calling yet.. maybe camel might do an offer also :)

(this + summer is the main times I buy anything now, in sales unless it's a very nice intro offer)
