Voodoo donunts in Portland.  Maybe not as tasty as crispy creme here in the south, but they certainly get top grade for their variety and kinkiness of donuts.  Since I FB'ed 'em I knew yesterday is was Donut Day.

The story I heard was that the Salvation Army started the holiday during WW-II to recognize the women who were part of the war effort.
