one of my friends told me that sheet music is important for future purpose! Is it so? If it is so important; then how?

what exactly did your friend tell you it was important for?

I personally prefer to have my music transcribed in at least a "fake sheet" type of sheet music so that other musicians will be able to play it.

What an odd question.

If you wish to distribute your music to others who will be playing it, sheet music is the only effective way of doing this, with the possible exception of using guitar tab notation.

If you are asking whether it is vital for your own purposes as a composer, then not necessarily.  However, if you can read it it's a lot more easier to understand that the PRV.

Your friend wouldn't be a classically trained musician who sight reads, would he (or she)?

Because it is important so people can play your music after the zombie apocalypse and all electronics are gone.  Written music will survive like the cockroach.  Your disks and mp3 player, not so much.  Of course, this presupposes zombies like your music and can play instruments.

It is the same w/ videos - all the bad versions of literature will be gone, forcing the zombies to read for pleasure, instead of heating up some popbrain to watch Dawn of the Dead on a hand cranked projector.

Meanwhile, in the real world, you can copyright your music w/ sheet music, or just send the gubberment a CD.

Yes, but I predict its just setting things up for another newish poster to post an answer about notes-helper software.

That was my guess too...

Hey, my friend told me that Gibson makes good guitars.  Is that true?  Why?

They don't...they used to though.  It's because they're more concerned with rakin it in than producing solid, affordable, quality instruments.  Ol Henry is no dummy.
