It seems like the thread order is reversed and renumbered.
 
The most recent post is labeled #1 and it is at the top of the page.
 
The first post ends up at the bottom of the last page.
 
It seems weird to to read all the comments backwards before you even get to the original post or question.
 
I looked for some sort of option but I didn't find any that seemed to apply.
 
Is it like this for everyone?

At the top toward the right is a tool icon thing that will sort the forum.

Check out the top right corner of your post (or my post since that's probably what you're seeing first ;)
 
There's the word "Post" with an arrow facing down or up. That should toggle the order.
