It's okay...the tech (he sounded French, I wonder if he secretely works for Slate, lol)...was a huge help...he did a remote look through and openend a new template in X2......the Waves plugs were installed correctly and it worked with a new template.....I then went back into X1 which is still installed....no issues, great....I then openend X2 on a pre existing tune and so far so good.......Au Revois!

Any explanation why that was necessary?

I'm thinking about future installs. I've never had any issue with Waves until this install.

Dave: The best bet if you get hung up is to contact a tech at Waves and go through the remote process..........I don't really know why this happpened....I installed Waves NLS weeks ago and it was a breeze.....what's your opinion of Maserati so far? I went through the presets on an already recorded acoustic guitar track....some of them were too bright for my taste

I haven't had a chance to really play with anything yet. I didn't have enough time today but I did decide to back everything up. Go figure. :)

I just got Maserati installed. Every time I try to close a Maserati plug and then open another Maserati plug Sonar will try to send a problem report but can't finish and ends up crashing.

It's getting late and frustration level is high so I'm just walking away from it tonight. Will proceed tomorrow.

Does it cost money to work with a Waves tech over the phone or is that even possible?

I finally have mine working but I had to completely uninstall, search and destroy folders left behind, then reinstall.

Most of the presets on those Signature plugs are pretty extreme.  I always adjust the controls and/or disable some functions when I use them.  For example, I like the CLA Vox plugin, but I usually mix with just the delay and pitch effects -- those can get me where I want to be much faster than with traditional gear.  YMMV ...
