A really nice one - even I find the offer tempting, even though I'm not a tele type of guy.

While supplies last.

Wow! that is a crazy offer! Not my most favourite of guitar shapes but even so...

Krist, I'm afraid I still don't understand the appeal of artificially aged and 'road-worn' guitars.

I don't know if you saw it at the time, but you might find the discussion we had about it HERE a couple of years ago interesting.

I also pointed out in this THREAD what a piss-poor job they made of replicating Joe Strummer's Tele. I mean to say, that abomination looks exactly like someone took an electric sander to it

instant aging process...I got one of those...

I'm guessing it beats trying to get an actual vintage guitar...at...oh say....a few grand or so...

Hmmm... yeah, I had kind of overlooked that part and it was the very low price that bedazzled me. So I'm with you there. I'd rather have a nice new shiny one and try to keep it in that state. But that's just me...

What cracked me up was seeing perhaps 30 perfectly-identical "roadworn" Telecasters lined up in a display case at NAMM. I immediately thought of all the rubes who pay $50 for jeans that have holes in the knees.

What'd be cool is if the hole in your jeans was on your thigh and it matched up, exactly, with the rubbed off paint on the Telecaster.

I think designer brand name buckle rash might be a thing of the future... if the bapu hasn't already patented it.

I might pay extra for a genuine Levi Strauss rivet dimple here or there.

I'm just glad I bought that strap woven out of Jerry's beard when I had the chance.

I can appreciate the skill of a luthier to create a copy such as was done with SRVs guitar and find it amazing that
they can do so in such fine detail and precision.

I have no appreciation or find value in a cheap attempt at it.

I'm w/ you guys on this one, the worn out thing isn't for me - but at this price, it wouldn't prevent me from buying the guitar. Judging from the pic, it didn't seem to be anything too wild in terms of aging either. I mean, they didn't try to make give it that Rory Gallagher finish.

But overall, I'd pick the non worn out model over it if it was an option.
