Just tried something.

NI Vintage Organs C3, I started with the "Rock Basic 1" preset but changed the following. DI setting, rotor off, drive zero, EQ flat

Put it through ACME Bargig's Preampus Dickhead, then through LX122. That's close! I also tried the other ACME Perampus heads, but "Dickhead" is the one!

I also tried Shabby Chic's Kontakt RMI piano layered on one of the manuals to try to get to that elusive Jon Lord sound. It's not quite there yet, but as close as I have been.

   grit is certainly missing,

They might be slightly, "underly aggressive," with their distortion over there at Xils Lab.   I have to agree.

Edit =  That doesn't mean, I don't love their products.  I am having a blast with Oxium!!  I live it.   But for example, on Oxiums Filter driver, "I could go for a little more thunder."

Yea, Even tho my NI B4 and Vintage Organs aren't "exactly" like the real thing they also aren't as huge or as tremendous a PITA to haul around like my real rig used to be.

PS:  Don't have a clue as to what I hit to start italicizing every blessed thang!!
