I just saw this a couple of hours ago in a thread on KVR, but I can't find it now.  But one of the last posts said that all the positions were filled, so maybe they managed to get the moderator to delete the thread.

Anyway, Cakewalk announced it was looking for beta testers for a Mac version of a synth.  The post made the claim (something like): this synth has an architecture that will blow your mind.

Hmmm, to me that exempts Z3ta 2, but that would be the most likely candidate for a Mac port.

The only other scenario I can imagine (the one I hope is true) is that there really is a new synth with mind-blowing features.  CW already has a list of able and willing PC beta testers so they didn't need to advertise for that, but they needed fresh blood for Mac testing.

Not that I need another synth, however mind blowing it may turn out to be.

Zeta is available on Mac. I have it installed since last August and I'm somewhat beta-testing it. ;)

Rapture and Dimension Pro both work fine, though they'd need to be updated to support the most recent versions of Mac OS.

EDIT - Omitted to mention: I saw that thread quite a while ago. I think it was started before Cakewalk released Zeta for Mac.

Ah, that would explain a lot.  I did not notice the date of the first post.  Too bad, I'd love to see the once-rumored CW super-synth come to fruition, if only to see what they've dreamed up.

Tracked the KVR thread down and the first post was June 8 of this year.  It did say (and I'm quoting exactly):

"a softsyth for OSX that will blow your mind"

and

"It will knock your socks off!"

For Z3ta 2?  Gimme a break.
