Hi folks,

not really a review ... haven't had time to really dig through them in great depth, and I wouldn't have time anyway.

But what I will say is ... I got them, they sound pretty damn fine to my ears for that price, and actually better than I expected.
For $119 it's massive value.
Maybe not what you'll use for your next jazz trumpet solo, but then again, I don't have time for that anyway !.

This has landed in my collection just at the right time for something commercial I'm working on.

And for what I'm doing, they are AWESOME !.
They sound perfect, the ease of use is just a life saver for me right now, and will be in the future too.

I've had to spend very little time, to get a pretty great result - easier and better than I expected.

A great addition to your toolbox at that price - especially if you need the ability to quickly add some good sounding horns to something ... very quickly and easily !.
Sure it may not be a "Broadway Big Band or Broadway Lites", but neither is the price, and the ease of use is just brilliant.

Actually ... I'm not qualified to comment regards the "Broadway" stuff other that the price, I don't own any of it.

Cheers - Cliff

Thanks Cliff.

I may have to get this. I play saxes but need the trumpet and trombone to complete my sections.

I listened to the Sample tunes from the Broadway lites and The sounds are nice but the sample tunes seem poorly done. It seems that the timber(tone) of the instruments varied too much from note to note on some of the legato examples. That could be that the composer needed to edit the velocity to correct the difference in keyboard velocity from note to note.

Then I listened to the Session horns the note transistions are much smoother.

Just my observation.

I'm working on some funk tunes right now....and I think the horns sound pretty damn good for the $......anywhere cheaper than $119?

but, but what else will it have, ???

I dont really see Kontakt 6 or GR 6 anytime soon, now maybe they will release new Massives or the like (MEH),,

so if they do include those 3 products  only it wont really be "komplete", will it?

No. But it would be a form of Komplete for the first time buyer.

Personally I'm really enjoying Session Horns. I've only used it in a few short tests, but I'm really looking forward to fitting it into a full production. It's really easy to use and gets great-sounding results. :)
