The upcoming version of AmpliTube, including ultra-accurate gear modeled on these valued partners amplifiers and effects, will be announced soon. This new version will also offer a brand new way to try and buy the included gear models together with a new distribution and pricing model that has no precedent in the software and plug-in industry.

But for me the $64 dollar question is will they go 64 bit? I Love Ampltube 3 but hate using bridged plugins.

IK seems stuck in the rut of offering smaller "of the moment" products than long term pro audio upgrades of their current stable.  I love my Amplitube 3 but, in all honesty, my SampleTank is seeming way outdated.  No scripting like Kontakt and no really new libraries.  The same for my Miroslav and Ampeg SVX (tho I'd be lost without that).  The new TRacks Deluxe is a step in the right direction but it seems like SampleTank has all but been abandoned.  And THEY MUST port everything to 64bit...whether they want to or not in order to stay viable.  Here's hoping they get their act together and finally decide just what sort of product(s) they're gonna offer.

I would love to see a more modular approach to Amplitube in terms of sales. For instance, there's almost no chance of me upgrading to Amp3 - it's just not a priority when I have Amp2/Fender/Hendrix/SVX AND metal - but if you let me buy the Trace Elliot and Orange amps for say, $15-20 a pop, I'm definitely in. I hope this is the sort of thing they have in mind.

+1 Also additional stomp boxes, rack effects etc. I would also like to see a good Leslie speaker emulation included.

There is always something new to the tube ... Let's face it - if we had a box Amp, Cab & FX known to man that we want to be the next version! It's just a matter of "when it is available, and how much of my hard earned pay? But it is still cheaper than buying a real-Gear!

I love my Amplitube3, but in all honesty, I Sample Tank is on the surface is outdated. No script, such as Kontakt, no real new library. The same for my Miro and Ampeg SVX.

Ok, you guys got me worried for a second there, resuscitating this old thread - I just got the full AT yesterday.

By all accounts, the new Sampletank is coming soon. I don't think we're likely to experience anything like a radical move from Kontakt to ST from developers any time soon, but who knows... Anything that'd move the focus from NI to another developer would be a good thing imho. If it's in favor of IK, all the better.

Lets hope IK Obi is reading this - please report back to the main people at IK - we want a viable alternative to Kontakt - produce one and I'm pretty sure you'd have a flood of customers!!!!
