I really like the Ozone product..it seems to sever me very well.

Ouch!  I was considering buying O5 Advanced during the audiomidi sale, but I didn't realize that it was so dangerous.    (j/k)

Everybody thinks it.

Just got it downloaded. Will install later.

Looks like AudioDeluxe has it for $399.00 but has a make-an-offer button. They also have the Ozone 5 Advanced Upgrade for $399.00 which also has a make-an-offer button... Get'em while you can.

oops..... I have not been severed...  I have been served!..... but not legally...  LOL

Yep.. I noticed $399 pricetag on iZotope site....a little steep for my blood.

I think the price tag is a bit steep as well. It seems to me that Izotope prices things at least $100 more than they should be.

I'd say Ozone 5 and Iris were pretty fair though..

Just curious if anyone else is having any problems with this new meter?

I've installed the Ozone 5 Adv update that contains the Insight meter module. I am having troubles using the Insight meter module in any Sonar X2 projects, new or old.

I only have a single instance of it on a master buss and keep getting audio crackles no matter how large or small the project. CPU usage appears normal.  Increasing buffer size makes little to no difference.

Also the stereo analyser is way off, it’s telling me that my projects are panned hard left when the sound is evenly distributed across the stereo image. This is only happening using the the Insight meter module that came with Ozone 5 Advanced.

The Ozone 5 meter, as well as my other metering systems, show the stereo image is well balanced and I have no crackling issues using multiple instances of Ozone 5 and/or Alloy 2.

I contacted Izotope support a couple days ago but have not heard back from them yet. Sent another email today. Again just curious if it is only me or something I'm doing wrong.

Kind regards,
Rick

Maybe that's what makes it "Advanced". If you can figure out what it's telling you, you can consider yourself "advanced".

I am reminded of the old story about the guy selling rat turds and calling them "smart pills". When asked if they really worked, he replied "well, no one's ever come back for more!".

Well, for an old guy, I'm not feeling very smart right now. In fact, I think I'm feeling more like a turd than I am advanced...  :)

My only salvation is that the same symptoms exist on both the main DAW and the Portable DAW which makes it easier for me to think that Izotope has mistakenly released the rat turd version vs. the advanced version of Insight.

If they don't get back to me soon I will be getting real smart by not going back for more as I don't like this nasty taste in my mouth.

On a serious note, if it worked, it really does have several useful features and the K12,14,20 system is fully supported. The meter taps seem like they could be very useful in analyzing a mix. I think I will eventually get some heavy use out of it even though it is slime green.
