  • Why would a company send me an email titled "last chance to save"...

...only to demonstrate that the "last chance" statement was bold face *make believe* by sending me a subsequent email that says "It's back, special pricing" with the very same offer the day after the "last chance" offer expired?

That sort of stuff establishes precedent. Now, when Cakewalk representatives say things like "Pro Channel bundles will never be bundled for free with SONAR X" I simply can not believe the statement.

I want to believe what Cakewalk representatives say to me... but it's been demonstrated time and time again that I would be naive to do so.

Is there some sort of company policy to see how few customers Cakewalk can end up with before common sense prevails?

BTW, Saving the $24.00 isn't what I'm holding out for.

There are a few bug fixes that I had hoped for that I live with in SONAR 8.5.3 Classic Edition and it seems like SONAR X introduced a lot more stuff that needs to be fixed.

Here's one: I want the custom colors back.

I'd pay for that. I might even put up with all the things I don't like about X if I could get officially supported custom colors back.

Get the custom colors fixed, tell us how much it costs, and get ready to count the money!

mike

Shakes head wondering why this is important?

Mike, perhaps Marketing is trying to sale stuff.

Because you asked for it. Cakewalk does not send out unsolicited email. There should be a link at the bottom of the email to unsubscribe.

It's not working.

I'm suggesting that Cakewalk try something different so they can start moving some units and reverse last years decline in sales.

What Mike is saying is that Cakewalk send out emails stating last chance to update at a special price....  after the expiry date stated they send out the same "last" chance offer... so in fact it wasnt the last chance.. so the the cutsomer has been misled.

This happened also with X1 Producer expanded offers I believe...  I receieved a last chance offer  only to receieve another with exactly the same offer way after  the "last chance" period.

I think  "LAST"  should mean last..

I get ‘last chance’ offers all the time from lots of companies. I get lots of ‘new, improved’ or  ‘get more for less’ offers also. If I’m interested in the product I may take advantage of the offer, not because I want to get in while I have a chance or will get more for less of a new, improved product but because I need the product. Most times I ignore the chatter. I don’t recall I single time I made the effort to go to a company’s web site to ponder why they do things like that. I already know: They’re trying to sell stuff.

Right. But I don't feel misled nor do I care about it.

How about they break it and deliver it a year late? I've heard that's great customer service.......
