I have alot of the Groove Monkee, Toon Track, Smart Loops, and tons of other midi stuff and why..............no matter what company I use, the fills (for a rock tune this time) are so overplayed and jumpy sounding? I need to find fills that a rock solid drummer would actually play in a song.....I have Rock Essentials 1 & 2 and it still is too busy.......the tune I just wrote is a cross between ZZ Top & AC DC.....very frustrating....if anyone can recommend any other product, I'm all ears. Thanks

Hi Robert. Is it possible to edit the existing fills to make them a bit more natural sounding. I think a lot of drummers play far too much. Listen to Nick Mason in Pink Floyd to get a great idea of very tasteful drumming. No overplaying there.

I agree with Jeff also about editing existing fills or even making your own form scratch (which is what I usually do). It's easier than you may think and with a little practice is a breeze.

Editing drums in PRV has made me a better real life acoustic drummer.

It's almost like studying drum charts the way real drummers, like Jeff, do it and writing or editing parts in PRV clarifies my thoughts when I'm actually playing on a kit.

Absolutely agree with Jeff and everyone else on the matter of midi editing, but the subject of what drummers play and how much isn't for this thread. That's  'nother topic altogether. :-) 

I appreciate your thoughts, everyone........it probably would be faster if I just did it myself on a keyboard, but certain fills, ghost hits, etc. are never right unless you're a great drummer.......Platinum Samples are loops and not midi, correct? I'll go to the site but my issue with loops is that unless the tempo of the song is close to what tempo the drummer is at, the sound of the drums can change dramatically

The Platinum Samples are more what I'm looking for...thanks for the heads up......Ferrone's library is a little expensive but I think I'll get that and the Real Country midis while I'm at it
