I thought the demoes sounded Real good. Just wonder what the price will be?

cheaper if you have d16 products already :) ..

would have a guess at £90-140 though , reason being other synths like sylenth , alchemy etc etc

Are you all sure it has a liniage derived from the SH-101?  I never owned one but always concidered it kind of a consumer grade synth.  Something you get for your kid who decided to start a band.  Did I miss the boat on that?

yep you assumed wrongly .. *BUT* it depends on what your type of music making is /was.. much like when someone I knew who worked for roland could get 303's for £26 back in the day and didn't by a load of em :)

trust me d16 are on point with their roland clones so far.. and their fx are good also.. demo them, and you'll see.. so on the scale of will it be accurate ? it's a none brainer from what I know of their rep AND the demos I've heard.

I just listened to the new audio they threw up on soundcloud...   not good, imo...   I've lost interest.   I'll leave it at that.

hopefully it'll be a bigger discount the more you have of theirs. I bought the fx and instrument bundles :)

if they knock £30-40 off it great.. if it's £10, well I'll email em saying "big deal" .. but I'll have a guess at £20 off

but I'll have a guess at £20 off

Who they are really screwing over is us Americans..   Because their European Prices include VAT.  and apparently so do their USA prices... They are charging, as far as I can tell, "about $39 extra," as an export fee or something...

Think about it..   149eur - 17% vat or so, is only 124eur, which is only $160 or thereabouts...  ??   I'm happy I haven't bought any of their products, and it looks highly unlikely I will in the near/far future.  I just wont stand for that kind of, "let's pillage the American People," business plan/pricing scheme.

Fair: would be acknowledging that customers in the USA do not have to pay VAT.  Customers in the USA no longer have a dollar that is so weak against the pound or euro.

I think its great they've priced their stuff that way though..  Its also great we can call em out on that, and not support their efforts.  Ah, "when capitalism works great."

you do have taxes though , like state ones etc ?  when I went Canada years ago.. it was GST / PST (which I could claim back being a none resident)

d16 are Polish , so can't speak for the tax on exports to the US from there.. VAT is 20% now ;-) and last time (long ago was 17.5)

I would have got done over if I bought my 824's + mackie BK weeks later = BIG price hike for a US import.. so now you're feeling a bit of our pain with US companies ;-)

how does it work with say PSP ? they are also polish, do you get charged tax with them also?

like PSP their products are good, so I'm happy you don't buy it.. as the fewer that do.. the better for me...

but joking aside, I'd wait till xmas IF it's that much an issue, as I bet they do a nice xmas price on their bundles.
