If you like gear that's both CHEAP and GOOD, you may be interested in the OverTone Pultec-style EQ plugin.  I picked this up after demoing against several other highly touted EQs and it stood out to my ears -- it's very clean, punchy, and has none of the digital hash that afflicts so many plugins.  And get this:  this month, it'll set you back the princely sum of 15 British pounds (about $25 US).  A no-brainer! 
 
OverTone also have a few other interesting plugins, but they're not included in the sale right now.  Still great prices, though.  Apparently these were developed by a former SSL engineer.  The sound quality bears that out.  They come in VST and AU formats for PC and Mac.  64-bit available, too.
