Hey, I'm using sonar 7, and I am really enjoying the capabilities of this version. Exept, on the z3ta+ soft synth, I can only seem to get Bank 0 to correctly work. Bank 0 does have many choices to pick, but there are many other banks to change to. When I use any other bank (1-5 or so) It returns back to bank 0 when I choose to play the file. Although, I can open the z3ta+ console and play the samples from there. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Not really sure what you mean by "Bank 0", because z3ta+ has banks A through F, and C is the default as shipped. If you are trying to select banks using MIDI CC messages (or via the track parameter "bank" in Sonar) I have a feeling that this is not supported by z3ta+, despite that the names of the banks appear in the pull-down. Same with program changes. You have to make them from the synth GUI.

Edit. Forget what I said. I have just realised that you can use the track parameters, but you must set a MIDI channel in the track parameters (the default of none seems to prevent the changes from being sent to z3ta+).

Oh, Now I get what you mean by A-F. And the default being C From the Main (rgc:audio z3ta+) view. Thanks! And where should I go with the track parameters exactly? If I select Channel 1>A, 2>B, Or is that not it? Is Track parameters the same thing as when I go to track properties?(inputs/outputs/banks/channel/patch)
EDIT: I have just figured it out. Than you so much!!!!

I can change banks using track params in the DXi version of Z3ta+, but not the VSTi. Is that normal?

The channel drop-down is different, depending on which version I use.

Thanks!

I find no difference between DXi and VSTi in this regard. With Midi channel set to 1 in each case, I can freely select Bank and Patch track properties and the synths follow.

taqdagger,

be sure to check out the other banks/programs. Poke around KVR for them.

I just tried it again in Sonar 7PE. The DXi version will change bank and patch from the MIDI track assigned to Z3ta+. The VSTi version will change patch, but not the bank. It shows in the MIDI track as being changed, and it shows the correct bank and patch name. But Z3ta+ changes only the patch, not the bank. Every patch is from Bank A, regardless of what the MIDI track shows.

Very strange, and apparently not a problem for most people. Is anybody else seeing this behavior?

I just use the DXi version to avoid this.

Thanks.

I don't seem to have installed the DXI version of z3ta+ so I really need the Bank Select to work on the VSTi version.

How?

SO nobody knows then?
