I read in the Help files that it's possible to load an external audio editor from the Tools menu in HS 2002, but it doesn't tell me how to get an external program shortcut onto the menu in the first place. I want to use Samplitude for extensive editing and mastering, but be able to get back to HS, a la Acid. Can anyone please tell me how to get its exe file onto Tools?
Thanks,

I'm not sure if this helps, but COOL EDIT automatically appears in my tools menu, and I didn't do anything special to get it there. Have you tried searching for this topic in previous posts? Just in case anyone else has answered this already...

Thanks for the super-quick reply - I only posted the question a few minutes ago!
Yes, it's strange. Fruity Loops appeared on my Tools menu without my doing anything, but I've tried everything I can think of to get Samplitude up there, without success.
I'll check out previous postings.
Thanks for your interest

Check this out.
Cakewalk Tools Menu Editor: http://mandala-in-mind.de/
This App. should be able to do it but I'm not sure samplitude can be used in HS.

Good luck,

Bill

Thanks, Bill. You're right, Samplitude won't load, unfortunately, even though I can see the title now on the Tools menu. I'll try some other wave editors. At least this gives me hope! Wonder why Cakewalk hasn't come up with some similar kind of editor. Maybe I'll drop them a line.
Cheers, mate

It works! I changed the bottom dialogue from Wave Editor to Generic and away she went.
Thanks again, Bill, you're a star. If you ever come to Kangaroo Island (South Australia) I'll buy you a beer.

Toad,

Glad to be of help to you. If I ever get "down under" I'll take you up on that beer.
