I will keep the Garrigus page on favorites in case needed.  I have now set my picture cache size to 1000MB--and am having no problems!  All of my waveforms are pictured.  I think 1500 was too big for some reason and 500 too small.  Seems to have been a matter of finding the right setting for my system and projects.
