NI is running crazy sale on upgrades 50%off.  If you own any version of Komplete you can upgrade for 115 dollars.  I just upgraded from version 2 for 229 last month which i thought was a good deal but 115 that's crazy cool.

Good point, Cliff ..... If they have crazy sales on the upgrades, they should be giving Core 2 away since it's going away.

Unfortunately there are no crossgrade options from the old and discontinued
"Kompakt" to "Kontakt 4", you´d have to purchase the full version.

Well, gosh guys!. I'm so thrilled. When I bought Kompakt it was going to be your standard sample player. Kontakt was for recording samples. All the third party libraries were going to work with Kompakt. Then you dropped it, no upgrades, nothing. So all the modern libraries won't work with it.

You gotta love the customer service. Ah well, guess I won't be spending any money with them. Geez, would it have killed them to offer me the crossgrade price?.

Sorry to hear that AJ.....NI's customer service is much left to be desired...or more like sucks!!!

The problem is that their sounds/synths are so damn good and has become the industry standard......decisions have to be made.....

Shame there is no upgrade path from Kontakt to Komplete. I picked up Kontakt on the last half price crossgrade offer as I has Steven Slate EX. I also have the Scarbee - A200 and Guitar Rig 4 XE.
 
Maybe they will do a deal when Komplete 8 is released.

I thought it was worth mentioning incase some one overlooked this option.

For those of you who ordered upgrades from NI, how long did it take for the products to arrive? I chose the free shipping option, which they state takes 6 to 8 business days. It's been 9 business days and I'm starting to get impatient.
