Hi all,i have a great new for all Liquid Mix\Sonar X1 user to work on WIN 64 bit.
After two days of compatibility and stability test i have a right config to work without problems.

1)You need the faboulos JBridge 1.3
2)You need add a famous string to system on regedit to trick the SidSpeed on W7 64 bit too
Don't add any DWord but Qword in 64 bit host .(read on Win7 site for the instructions).Restart System.
3)Follow exactly the advices on site to install JBridge (Run as administrator all  .exe in JBridge folder)
4)Change your firewire device driver in LEGACY driver.Restart System.
5)Install Liquid Mix SW 3.0 (Run as administrator).Restart System.
6)Run JBridge and scan your vsts bridged (i have only Liquid mix dlls)
7)Add your new folder in Sonar vst scan directory and scan.If you have a freeze of your scan window run tab of services and stop the scan process for two times(Liquid mix mono and stereo),don't worry.Restart Sonar
8)Open Sonar and run Plug ins Manager.Check vst plug ins.In the Liquid mix 64 (mono, stereo)properties select load with JBridge.Restart System.
9)Open Sonar, open two instances of Liquid Mix stereo and Mono ,open the JBridge settings and deselected all voices except "run in existing Auxhost".
10)Restart System
11)Open Sonar and in AUD.ini properties change the Realtimepreroll value at 1,restart Sonar
12) Enjoy this fantastic Focusrite product.

I have tested this configuration for two days with a Sonar X1 prj with 24 audio tracks ,16 Liquid mix stereo instance ,4 fx chain preset ,4 Waves CLA plug ins,Reverb and Delay on dedicated busses.Loop on.
No drop outs.No glitches.No delay.

After all i have a personal consideration.
I am a Focusrite customer with Liquid Mix and Saffire Pro 26 i\o.I am a Pro,producer and composer, and i use many brands to work in my and in other studio.
I had a great respect for Focusrite but for me it's a shame that a great company had not developed a solution for Sonar 64 bit compatibility problem.
When i was tryng to resolve my problems i have read many forums and i had found many bugs with other 64 bit daw like Cubase 64 bit and Ableton.
I don't understand this......64 bit is the future of Pro Audio.
Ok i hope to help all Liquid Mix owners on 64 bit host.
Good luck.

Greetings

I just use the 64 bit version of Liquid mix. It's a lot easier than all that.

I do not think!
You can ask all those who after a single instance of Liquid Mix had an error message of  full  FireWire bandwidth.
It seems very strange that you have used immediately one thing clearly not supported by Focusrite developers.
Liquid mix 3.0 no change DAW not supported Sonar 64 bit.

I think more information is required in otherwords give us a link, as according to most tech sites I have visited the sidspeed issue has been fixed in Windows 7 as it was an XP issue. Also the fix mentions nothing about adding qwords ???

Maybe were typing about two different things then. I did not read your post as Nomad factory's liquid plugs are 64bit. Sorry about the confusion.

Hi biodiode, there isn't informations or tech site on this trick,it's my work on three months of Liquid Mix test 'couse i can't accept that  Focusrite has not developed a working Sonar 64 bit driver.
Another problem has the error message of full Firewire bandwidth that appears after the first Liquid Mix instance.
After the SidSpeed change in the W7 register, no errors ,that's it.
I have used a Qword couse is a 64 bit system,Dword for 32 bit.
I just wanted to help those who could not use this awesome stuff in Sonar 64 bit.
Now is perfect,that's all.

Best

Hey, I'm finally moving to 64bit Win 7...I know this is ancient history but could you be more specific about what this suggestion below means. I've searched the Win 7 site but found nothing specific about this regedit SidSpeed fix. No idea what "a famous string to system" means or adding a Qword  in 64bit host...or where in the registry to put it. I've edited registries before but I need more information. (Could you copy and paste the exact entry and its registry location in your response? ) Sorry to be so lame. Every thing else in your description made perfect sense to me.   Thanks a lot!

"2)You need add a famous string to system on regedit to trick the SidSpeed on W7 64 bit too

  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI\1394_hc_hw_id\1394_instance_id\Device Parameters
  3. If the SidSpeed value does not exist in the right pane after you click the Device Parameters subkey in step 2, create it. To do this, point to New on the Edit menu, click DWORD Value, type SidSpeed, and then press ENTER.
  4. Right-click SidSpeed, and then click Modify.
  5. In the Value data box, type one of the values that are shown in the following table, and then click OK.

Is this it? I'm a little confused because this is referring to a Win xp fix.  Do I just follow this process but click on QWORD Value instead of DWORD Value? Are the values important in SidSpeed? If so, what are they? S400(default?)

Thanks again!
Dave
