Mine are 3 LP's of sessions with Jimi Hendrix by Mike Ephron.  They were done in his (Mike;s) basement on a real to real of some sort.

And while we're at it, their latest effort w/ Lou Reed seems pretty awful judging from the first 30 seconds snippets that came out.



 
Death Magnetic, too.  It's just unbearably bad.  It probably wasn't a bad-sounding recording until the mix and mastering engineers got their hands on it.

Close call between Eurythmics 'Touch Dance' - (what was I thinking...what were they thinking?) and 'Vapor Trails' by Rush, the worst mastered CD I've heard so far.

I love-love-love Rush, but you're right.  Vapor Trails is a mess.
