I just got a piano bar gig for 6 friday nights . The regular guy, who sings in my church choir and a buddy is going up to Virginia for June and July.I have done a few fill in spots at this gig before.He got me the spot and they like me (who wouldn't like the dawg?) It is a Mexican Restaurant, although they like regular piano bar stuff. He told me he started crooning every fifth song or so, up to then its been strictly instrumentals. So I am fine tuning my TC Helicon Voice Live Touch to add a little doubling and FX for my voice, and going through my fake book for vocals. They just tuned the upright and regulated the action, so it plays like a dream. Plus the pay is way way more for 3 hours than I make for a 4 hour gig in my band, and they feed you after the gig !. Just had to share my fortune, since the money will go to replacing my central AC which is on the fritz..
