  • Pro Channel Losing EQ Settings

Biscuits
I seem to remember this being an issue back in X1 days, but is anyone else experiencing this with X3?
Basically on re-opening a project, often (about 1 in 4 times) all Pro Channel EQ settings will be completely reset.  There is a window of time while the project is open to go in and manually turn each band off/on, which restores it's previous settings, but if you close the project before doing this (or it crashes), you have lost the settings for good.
This essentially renders Pro Channel completely unusable; I can't rely on it at all when I'm working on multiple versions of cues, doing revisions, going back into stuff from weeks prior.
I'm on X3B and scared to move up to X3C because I don't want to introduce even MORE issues, but does anyone know if X3C has addressed this?  Any suggestions for workarounds (ie turn off 64bit, never ever use Pro Channel etc haha)?

Create a restore point, then try upgrading to X3e. Many issues have been addressed.

FIX... for me anyway, but try this: i went into all the cakewalk folders and deleted all the prochannel .dll's.... next i opened up sonar x3 and ran the plug in scan to show they were removed, then i did an over install from the original sonar x3 disks and only installed the program files and all the plugin files. next did an over install of the x3e update, then i opened up sonar x3 and did a vst scan to find the reinstalled plugins and it fixed the prochannel eq not saving my settings... plus the settings i made that didnt seemed saved, they were there, hmmmmm. nutty, but it fixed for me. it's almost like a vst that gets screwy and needs to be deleted and reinstalled. hope it works for you.

sure... this is what i did, hope it works for you.
step 1- go into all cakewalk folders on your C Drive/Programs, or Programs (x86) for 32 bit version/Cakewalk/Shared Utilities/Internal and delete ALL pro channel .dlls
Step 2- open sonar x3 and run a vst scan to verify all pro channel fx are gone.
Step 3- get out your original installer files, disk or download and only install program files and plugin fx.
step 4- install x3E update.
step 5- open sonar x3 again and run another vst scan to verify the pro channel plugins are there again.
Last- open a test project, change pro channel eq drastically, save and reopen to see if it fixed it for you.
it worked for me... it reminds me of vst effects getting buggy and having to delete them and reinstall them.
hope this works you. let me know.
