It seems that X3 has had a problem with Undo from the beginning:  When I go to undo something, almost always the undo label is wrong, instead of saying undo "whatever it was I did" it says undo "something completely wrong" and I am left guessing what I am undoing.  I have seen this problem in X3d, can anyone else confirm this?

Yes I can confirm this. Only noticed it twice, once with X3c and once with X3d.  Not sure if it is intermittent or I just don't always look or notice.
 
Example - A couple of days ago I recorded a track, then did a drag move that I wanted to undo.  Usually I just hit CTRL-Z, but for some reason I went under the undo history and it said "undo recording."  I clicked it, and it undid the drag move.  So it seems like just the label is incorrect.

Yea, i can confirm that it will undo your last move when it is listing something else.

Well I just recorded some MIDI, clicked Undo Recording and it undid as expected.
I also did the same again, and I moved it. I then was able to Undo Drag Move and Undo Recording.
 
So we are gonna need steps to repro #2 I suggest because if I can't repro cake won't be able to either.

I reported this under the first release of X3, and it was confirmed. Edit > History will show the correct most recent action, but Edit > Undo will show an earlier one. As mentioned, however, it's just a labeling issue. The action that actually gets undone is correct.
 
 

I've done more tests with X3D, and checking edit history/undo. Nope sorry it totally works for me. I assume you all have X3D installed (you've all got X3C in your footers). Cheers...

Edit > Undo is in sync with Edit > History
 
Project started in X1, edited in X2, now opened in X3 (and I didn't even bother to rename it)

I am running x3d, I just haven't update my footer.
 
Edit/Undo is where I see the incorrect listing.  There are no steps to reproduce, just try an Edit/Undo.

Have you checked this with a brand new project, just with a couple of steps?
You have two people here who cannot reproduce with X3D 64 bit so some information has to be missing here, we are running the same software.
