Hi Keni

We still need steps please (so will Cake)....

Has this been troublesshooted? Can you and other forum members reproduce this every time?

i.e. Check my comment here:

"Vocal shortcut Not working" is pretty meaningless to me, and you need to give a scenario where it can be reproduced every time, and rule out the fact that it could be just your system.

Thanks...

Hi Alex...

I'm sorry I don't post the way you (and other) would like, but when I post here I am talking first... not posting a bug report and I am more than happy to be more exacting if/when others are interested in having such..

I will do better...

chose a track (monophonic) to use V-Vocal on
split off a region to apply V-Vocal to and select it
press shift-V to open/apply V-Vocal to the selected region

expected:
v-vocal to open showing the regions data

actual
nothing

Are you sure SHIFT-V is bound to a function in X3? The keyboard shortcuts dialog in Preferences indicates SHIFT-V is not bound to a function. Is is possible with the introduction of Region FXs and the legacy status of V-Vocal the binding was dropped?

You are correct that it is not listed as bound to the tool... But in searching for shortcuts previously It is still listed as is shift-m to do the same with melodyne... I'm trying to locate the shortuct listing that displayed this but so far unable...

Lets not get too crazy about playing beta testers here... We all appreciate the help and place to voice our concerns, but it just isn't always necessary to be that formal...

I thought it pretty obvious that shift v not working to open V-vocal pretty explanatory by itself.... Obviously there needs to be a track with data on it etc.... but none of that matters as we all know that to be the case... you can't open V-Vocal without selecting a clip to open it on... Or is there?

Shift v has always opened it in previous versions of sonar and I did find it listed in X3 as well as melodyne.... Melodyne worked with the shortcut in X3c, but now it's not working in X3d...

BTW... I also looked and can't find a function to bind the commands to so I thought they were internally bound somehow...

Keni, it's not so much about posting the way we would like you.  personally, I'm not that much of a stickler for formalities, but you have to tell us something more than :

What else is there to tell? There is only one V-Vocal Shortcut and only one way to use it

V-Vocal Works, but the shortcut to create/open does not...

I'm sorry if I thought that obvious...

I just found this in the online shortcut docs:
Note that I still haven't found where in the docs it also claims to do the same for Melodyne (which also doesn't work), but I found it once before so I will keep looking

V-Vocal shortcuts

Table 260. V-Vocal keyboard shortcuts

Open V‑Vocal Editor
SHIFT+V
Create V‑Vocal clip
SHIFT+V

Note: All V‑Vocal shortcuts in the Editor itself are listed in the V‑Vocal help file.

I'm just going by your initial post. telling us a shortcut is not working actually tells us very little except you are frustrated.  "Not working" could mean you are getting an error message , nothing happens at all,a total crash of Sonar and a number of other things.  You could get different results in old projects versus new projects. You have since explained it in subsequent posts  but it might help in future posts to give us more.
