Seth sorry I don't think you are understanding the actual issue, you are assuming users will CANCEL, some will not!
Some users WILL NOT CANCEL because they don't know what to do and are not technically minded like we may be.

Nowhere do you have this documented, so they are supposed to guess which button to press?

And it's just weird to run the X3E patch and the first thing you see is MODIFY/REPAIR/CANCEL or whatever it was.
We have also documented people who have been running into problems so it's not just imagination going on here..

Come on see my point here, it must make sense :)

Thanks...

No, I understand the actual issue. You're pointing out that some users don't read the Melodyne installer prompt. If a user can't read an installer prompt, which in Celemony's defense is quite informative, what says they'll read documentation we present?

The first thing you see when running the patch is not the Celemony prompt. Please stop misrepresenting the situation.

I sorry that's a little OTT Seth considering my track record. Sorry but from memory it popped up straight away when running the patch, look if I'm wrong I'm wrong I'd happy to admit it, I'm not going to run the patch again however to  check it.

Really though I don't see what the issue is about WHEN it is running, it is that it is running at all, or you don't have clear documented instructions on what to do next here which clearly can lead to confusion.

BTW there is nothing in your installer wizard to indicate that Melodyne installer is about to be run, and there is no option not to run it (i.e. express/custom/full install), that's sort of unusual isn't it when installing software?

Regardless I can't imagine why you just can't put in the release note advise on how to install your patch. It does no harm to anybody and would be helpful.

Please do not regard this as a criticism here, your patch is bl**dy excellent otherwise (so far).

Thanks.

Seth I'm trying to back up my points here I hope this is allowed.

I'm sorry last thing I want is an argument with anybody Seth, I was just trying to get a point across, I don't mean to give out the impression of arguing, moaning or whatever. I apologise if you see it this way, that is not my intention. I wish to be seen as friendly here.

I found the Melodyne installer prompt confusing as well.  I read it, just didn't quite understand what button to push in the context of a patch.  Any way to make it clearer would be appreciated.

back to the original topic of this thread . . . is the graphic thing fixed with Melodyne?

I'm not sure that the OP's issue is the same as the earlier reported issue, or possibly it's a different description than I've heard before.

Hi,

I also have a sync issue with Melodyne. When playing the track, Melodyne is displaying/marking the blobs lets say 2s ahead of the actual song. Which makes editing quite difficult because you see diffenerent things.

Is there any recommendation on how to configure Audio Playback/Recording? I've choosen WDM/KS.

Running Sonar X3e Producer, Melodyne editor on Win7x64

Any help highly appreciated as it is not productive to work with Melodyne as it was with V-Vocal.

Best,
Chris
