I've used Sonar (Cakewalk) since the DOS days and never had any problems with not being able to use their programs. This time not only did I get burned on X1, but also X3. I will absolutely never upgrade until they at least fix the show stopper bugs that they have acknowledged. I'm not very impressed with the integrity of the new owners. How I miss the days when they were not owned by a big corporation. I'll download the trial version of X4 and hope.

I differ I am extremely impressed with the people in charge now it is a breath of free air. There is progress and that is what matters. The next step will be what matters and I have every confidence in whatever form it may take.

Amost all have them have already been reported, and in principle most of us are not moving historical posts around (i.e. before "forum hosts" arrived).

I assume CW team is working on fixing listed above bugs and the question is if:
 
a)  this will be available to X3 users (by releasing X3f)
b) or available only to X4 users
 
I will consider upgrading to X4 only for the new features, not because it is the only way to get bugs fixed. And how would we know they were fixed sooner than several months from release

Unknown and don't expect to know anything until it happens , but I know cakewalk are working on it which is the main thing. I'm assuming a changelog will be available on each release (whatever and whenever it may be).

Although I hate stickies (not really, just the way they are overused here sometimes), I believe that there is a good case for this thread to be promoted to sticky status in the Problem Reports forum.
