Well if nobody will help me (no surprises here) could a forum moderator could edit these posts to get rid of these long quotes as it will be helpful at least to me. Many Thanks.

has there been any word of an x3f at all?

Well we are getting less bugs reported in the forums I'm not sure what that means but it's probably good news. Cake tech support would have a better idea I'm sure.

However we have 60 to 70 reproducable X3E bugs shown here in post #1 not all of them trivial that really need fixing. If there are any I have missed please let me know.

No word or ETA on X3F sadly.

Cheers.

So does the hive mind think there should be a x3f patch, or happy to pay for x4?

I can't speak for any hive mind, but I think five free updates is pretty good going, value-for-money wise. And I'd be surprised if there was one this late in the cycle; they usually release in Autumn / Winter.

fair enough, though i see the "free updates" as "free bugfixes" at least as far as the x-series goes
(eta)so was that a x3f or x4?

My view is there is enough important and outstanding issues to warrent X3F (see post#1 for specifics). X4 will bring it's own unique set of issues as with all new software. I don't regard service releases as 'free' in regards to fixing faults, nor would I generally expect to pay for new software in order to fix bugs.. What Cakewalk have been doing with X3 has been great but there is still a lot to do, I do hope they will keep it up. Having this sort of commitment shows us how Gibson/Cakewalk will handle future releases can only improve sales if done right (so far so good).
