Can't use Contorl-F4 in key bindings successfully. If a window is open, it instead closes the window. This has been confirmed and reproduced by Cakewalk.

CTRL+F4 used to be the easiest way to close any window in Sonar 4.0.2 and probably many other older versions.
Example: quickly open an event view to check something ( ALT+V+E )
Quickly close that same window after seeing what I needed to see ( CTRL+F4 )
I suspect, ( haven't tested it ) that if you have a floating window open in X3
then CTRL+F4 will close it. So good. That's how it's always been. I hope it stays that way.
No Steve it hasn't always been that way. Yes likely you're right that it was the default operation of Contorl-F4, but in every single version of Sonar except X3, I've been able to use key bindings to set my own shortcut keys, including Control-F4. You're also right Control-F4 is closing a floating window open in X3.
Alt-F4 is also a default way of closing windows in Cakewalk products, I've left that one as is. Like you, I really like a quick way of closing a window, for me Alt-F4 is just fine. There's no reason why a user shouldn't be able to reprogram any shortcut key combination using key bindings. Contorl-F4 is the only shortcut that can't be reprogrammed by key bindings. If a floating window is open, it'll close it no matter what the key binding is. This has been confirmed by Cakewalk as a bug.
