I couldn't resist the $99 upgrade and just downloaded but according to the installation instructions we're supposed to go to our store account and get the product key?
Firstly there are only serial numbers and registration numbers (no product keys) and secondly under the AD serial number column it says out of serial numbers.
I searched here for "out of serial numbers" but got no results...has anyone heard of this issue?

It happens occasionally. Cakewalk runs out of third party serial numbers. Typically during sales. If the serial number does not get issued in a couple of days, call Customer support. The AD product key will show up in the serial number column when it is issued.

I guess them selling more than they figured is a good problem for them to have...I'm cool with waiting a couple of days.

It sounds like only the AD product key that is missing. There is no other information provided for AD, the product is installed and registered based on the product key. Fortunately, this does not stop anyone from installing and using X3. It just delays installing Addictive Drums which is a separate process.

Me too. Can Cakewalk send an an email when the numbers are available, to save having to check the account sporadically, and/or update this thread, to let us know.

I am about to get this $99 upgrade and looks like I'll also have to wait for the AD serial numbers...  
 
For those that have an earlier version of Sonar (X2 for instance) already installed and wanting to keep that on the machine, are there any special instructions to installing X3 alongside with it?

If X2 Producer is installed skip "Loops and One Shots" download/install, If either X1 or X2 Producer are installed skip DimPro download/install. There are no changes to these files. After installing X3, apply the X3e patch and then perform a VST reset/rescan.
