Less than a week to go now! Well, as Scott's 'Sonar x4 Power' is listed on three sites as being published on 26th November I guess next Tuesday could be very exciting.

Would not be wise to release a new product the day before Thanksgiving. Sorry to disappoint.

Will that shorten the internet lines?

You're going to release it ON Thanksgiving?    (whatever that is...)

It celebrates the concept that we absconded with some Indians' food, IIRC.

The day before Black Friday, DOH!

I have had mostly performance and stability issues with Sonar since version 8 (I currently use X3e Producer). I would like to see a "major" X4 rework to handle CPU, RAM, thread (core) management, and VST3 handling A LOT BETTER! They also need to implement the capability of saving and opening projects with the "PDC" button enabled. I find using Sonar easy and intuitive and is my favorite DAW, but have had much better stability with Cubase 7.5 Also, have problems with Softube "VST3" plugins as they have to be constantly turned on or Sonar will cause audio dropouts (Softube says no issues with other DAWs). I wish Sonar would simply look at their competitor's DAWs and implement some of their features e.g. Cubase's "re-record mode" and the ability of changing the sample rate "after" a project has been created to another sample rate (not only when just starting a new project like Sonar), Protool's AAX engine stability that dynamically allocates CPU and RAM resources in real time, etc. I can only hope that Sonar in the X4 version will focus more on "stability and performance" and not "more features" like plugins or synths that X3 marketed to get new customers. Well thanks for reading my rant. I feel better getting it out. Hope Sonar could realize that marketing their DAW as better performance and stability that their competitors is what will attract new users.

I started projects in the wrong sample rate a few times. I dragged the project audio folders into Sound Forge and did a sample rate change batch process, changed the sample rate in SONAR, and re-loaded the project. Not totally elegant, but it works.

So you're the guy that is slowing up the X4 release.
