I understand completely one has to ask  even if you then tease with your FX chains you have made

Well like i said, I'll see what I can do. I can't promise anything, but I would like to finish them up anyway...other people being interested in them provides additional incentive.

Very generous, thanks Craig.

Just returning the favor. The forumites are a pretty generous bunch.

One of my favorite ProChannel features is using Quick Grouping in the Console view to open up all of them at once..makes it easy to verify console emulations status, for example.

Very true... I don't believe I've ever properly thanked you for pointing this out in one of your vids... Thanks... Tho I have a hard time remembering the key configs for everything! ;-)

I use this often to setup new tracks brought to me for mixing and need to assign so many with common attributes/decisions...

One thing that seems to work inconsistently is using group while assigning an intended common HPF freq on the quad curve... I rarely use any other track eq these days... The options and variations within the quad curve as well as the fabulous spectrum display are a joy!

Both the pc76 and the ca-2a compressors are so good that my needs are typically done...

Reverb? The Breverb isn't bad... It has lots of depth and character woot clouding things too much...

The Console Emulation combined with the Quad-EQ's manufacturer selection is outstanding...!

Tape Emulator is quite good for many things... I often use it for guitars...

Do you really need more than this to get good results? I don't... Yes, I'm still using the Sonitus DDL and Modulator, but little else...

Regardless of which platform/format, these are great tools...

I look forward to any new full PC implementations.

But ... something lost on me initially ... (maybe obvious to many(?)) ...

Do people recognise/use the FX Chain Module? It effectively wraps an FX Bin into the PC strip so you can still launch/use all your non-PC FX from there. You can even simply drag-drop FX from your Browser onto the PC strip and it'll create a FX Chain Module wrapper. It also provides for 6 control knobs and 6 buttons (as assignable) for tweaks directly from the PC strip (many of which are preconfigured for the 'included' FX).

FX Chain Module doccy.

I've been using the FX Chain module in many places... It was graciously designed by Cakewalk when we were all needing the option to insert vst's within the PC chain itself... Of course they took us one better and allowed the insertion of fx chains wherever we want instead of simply a single vst...

Now if we could get the ability to save/retrieve settings for individual PC modules.... And a visible pre/post status on the PC itself! ;-)

Anyone else ever run into a need for splits in between fx? I have sometime found myself needing to send a version with only part of the fx chain involved... Say to keep a delay out of the send... I have always found work arounds, but it would be nice to be able to insert a send from any point in a channel's chain...

Would it be worth it to set up a second FX Chain with just the plug-ins you want to send?

I was in a band that played a gig in a park in Willits several years ago.

Thanks Ruben...

There have been times when I did that... As well as other schemes...

I'm just thinking analog from back in the day when I could shove a device's output into a mult on a patchbay and send the signal from that point in multiple directions...

Maybe that's what is needed? A mult module!

All right...here you go. It was time for a gift to the forum anyway.

  • The top switch sets Delay mode - dim for pre, lit for post.
  • The next row of switches invert the left channel polarity, swap the left/right channels, and invert the right channel polarity.
  • The top two knobs handle delay.
  • The bottom two knobs handle panning for the left and right channels.

Here's the download link (good for 7 days). Enjoy!

Thanks Craig...

I hadn't thought of doing that... I'm sure this will be very handy!

Hi Ruben...

I almost forgot to reply to this part of your post...

We do have many concerts in the park here bordering on the edge of weather changes... I used to perform as well as supply FOH for many of them... Not lately though...

What did you think of our little town? ;-)

Keni, I liked it... I was only there for a few hours during the concert but I'd enjoy re-visiting and seeing more of the town. I liked the area and that it's not too far from the ocean.

IIRC, it's also where Seabiscuit is buried.
